The Climate Crisis is the greatest jigsaw puzzle of all time. But addressing it at a community, country and system level will bring life changing opportunities for all. Solutions to climate change need to be deployed at all levels of society and in every corner of the earth. Some are as simple as changing the way we farm to improve crop yields and health of land. Or rotating cattle in a field grid to bring desertified land back to life. But education is the key to unlocking new opportunities and improved lives. Artificial Intelligence will help us understand and monitor progress, as well as show us which solutions need to be deployed where to address land, water and food limitations and degradations. There is opportunity for everyone to use this moment in time to change everyone's lives for the better. In this session we will look at new ways to do old things for a better world, and how AI and IoT can assist our progress.

Computer vision (CV) gives the eyes for the Artificial intelligence. It aims to mimic human visual perception and ultimately surpass superhuman capabilities. Visual tasks such as recognizing objects, reading, driving, recognizing faces are easily learnt tasks for humans. However, teaching computers to do so is immensely difficult regardless of computational power. Recent advancements in deep learning and GPU accelerated computing have boosted CV to be reasonably accurate for understanding the objects, texts, humans and the surrounding. This session will be a walk through CV concepts, applications in Industrial, Agricultural, Mining, Self-Driving, Robotics, Medical, Transport, Space, Retail, VR/AR and opportunities.

"For telco organizations, the challenge in transforming customer experience is a multi-fold approach - at the front end, rapid adoption of a plethora of customer channels along with speed of service is required. This means that customer demands need to be met intuitively and in real-time. To fulfill this, the backend infrastructure also needs to be fast, efficient, and robust. Meeting these challenging demands means telcos have to turn to low-code, no-code platforms that afford them the ability to rapidly integrate customer interaction channels, build intelligent services that have the ability to respond to the customer and solve or better filter their needs, as well as orchestrate their complex BSS backends to manage front-end service delivery. Using real case examples from Wavenet’s vast experience in the field, Suren will deconstruct the challenges telcos are faced when adapting new tools, integrating their legacy backends, and delivering exceptional customer service, setting up a blueprint for successful adoption.
