SLASSCOM IT & BPM Exploration Day for the Central Province is scheduled for May 20, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM at the University of Peradeniya. The event aims to raise awareness of IT & BPM industry opportunities among school children, university students, graduates, entrepreneurs, and teachers.

Building on SLASSCOM's regional capacity-building efforts, this initiative continues the IT&BPM Weeks program, last held in Kandy in 2016. The event will feature parallel sessions on school awareness, industry insights, soft skills, entrepreneurship, and STEM for Her. With participation from SLASSCOM's 350+ member companies, attendees will gain hands-on exposure to industry trends, coding platforms, career guidance, and interactive activities.

SLASSCOM invites volunteers to support the school-focused segment, engaging students, parents, and teachers through interactive sessions, games, and the Tech Kids platform. Coordination is ongoing with the Ministry of Education (MoE) and the University of Peradeniya to facilitate the event.
