As the country manager for Microsoft Sri Lanka and Maldives, Hasitha Abeywardena is responsible for the company’s commercial and consumer product profile, service offerings, corporate reputation, company performance, and customer & partner experiences. Prior to this role, Hasitha led Microsoft Sri Lanka’s enterprise business, where he was instrumental in helping large-scale enterprises leverage cloud-based technologies to transform
their business models. Before joining Microsoft, Hasitha held various positions with some of Sri Lanka’s largest companies including Suntel, MAS Group, and Dialog Axiata.
Hasitha holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Outside of work, he has a keen interest in emerging technology, and agriculture, and enjoys farming.

Furthermore in getting certified in ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and CMMi and also being the pioneers in Agile methodologies. Dr. Mahawithanage is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. He is also the Director of Centre for Mindfulness-Based Research and Practices, at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and a visiting fellow of Javorie, International Meditation Centre, Slovakia.
He has been in the corporate sector for over a decade, including in reputed multinational companies, prior to joining the university academic sector.
In addition to his academic carrier, Sanath serves as an honorary director of Sati Pasala Foundation, a global mindfulness initiative. He is a keynote speaker, trainer, and a mindfulness practitioner. He has initiated in-house mindfulness programmes in various multinational
institutions.
