He has a First Class honors degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. He is a member of the Blackberry Developers Community, an Associate Member of the Institute of Engineers, Sri Lanka, and a member of the International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology. He is also a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
